Over a span of nearly 27 years, Gisel built an impressive career serving in executive roles in
multiple disciplines at Fortune 5 company, Walmart Inc. She progressed her career in
Operations taking on more and more responsibility before taking on the top HR role for Walmart
US. From there she was promoted to COO, Walmart US where she led store operations,
innovation teams and real estate strategy for the $250 billion US division. Then as the EVP of
People serving Walmart International, she led strategy in all areas of human capital
management, leading HR teams supporting more than 1 million employees across 27 countries.
And just before retiring she served as EVP, COO for Sam’s Club, Walmart Inc’s fast growing,
omni channel warehouse membership business. She now serves as an independent board
director at Ulta Beauty, Vital Farms and Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, plus two additional
private companies – BBQGuys.com and a familiar one to our Latino community,
TelevisaUnivision.
