Colombian-Dominican singer and songwriter NEZZA blends Latin and R&B pop influences into a genre-fluid sound rooted in her heritage and fearless artistry. Since launching her solo career in 2018, she has steadily carved out a lane of her own, reaching a breakthrough moment in Summer 2025 when her viral performance at Los Angeles Dodgers Stadium catapulted her into the global spotlight. Her debut EP, Club Solita (2021), fused R&B, pop, and Latin reggaeton, earning more than one million Spotify streams per track and international radio play, while her sold-out 2022 tour established her as a captivating live performer. This August, NEZZA returned to her Bay Area roots for a milestone moment of her own, making her first-ever festival performance at San Francisco’s Outside Lands in Golden Gate Park, a hometown debut that brought her journey full circle. Now, NEZZA enters her biggest chapter yet with the release of her debut album, SWEAT, arriving September 18.
Her story of courage is further captured in La Tierra del Valor (The Home of the Brave), a short documentary directed by Cristina Costantini that screened in competition at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. The film follows NEZZA’s journey leading up to the viral Dodgers Stadium performance that became a defining cultural moment. Accompanied only by piano, she performed the National Anthem in Spanish using “El Pendón Estrellado,” the official 1945 translation commissioned by the U.S. government. Her emotional declaration, “I needed to do it, para mi gente,” resonated around the world, helping propel the moment to more than 14 million TikTok views and sparking conversations about identity, representation, and belonging. More than a viral performance, it cemented NEZZA as a powerful new voice championing Latin culture on a national stage.
As she ushers in the SWEAT era, NEZZA continues to redefine what modern pop can sound and look like. Equal parts vulnerable and confident, English and Spanish, she represents a new generation of artists creating without boundaries and bringing their full identity to every stage.
